Holiday pay
The premium is already worked out when the holiday lands.
Timekeep knows which days are holidays, which kind each one is, and what that does to a day's pay.

Three places a holiday comes from
All three sit in one list.
The regular and special days are already in Timekeep, and they are kept up to date for you.
A city or provincial holiday applies from where your business sits, not to everybody in the country.
Add the days your own business observes, like a founding day, and they behave like any other special day.
It arrives in the pay, not in a note to yourself.
When a holiday falls inside the period, the day is already priced by the time you open the run. You are checking a figure, not looking up a rule.

What comes with it
The awkward combinations are the point.
Regular and special, told apart
The two kinds are not paid the same, and Timekeep knows which is which without you checking a circular.
A holiday on somebody's rest day
When the two land together, the combination is worked out from the day type and the rest day on the schedule.
Holiday hours that run late or into the night
Overtime and night hours on a holiday are handled on top of the day rate, in the right order.
Days you observe, and days you do not
Every day in the list can be switched on or off for your business, so the calendar matches how you actually operate.
Before you ask
Questions owners ask every December.
Do I enter the holidays every year?
No. The national list is already there and kept current. You only add the days that belong to your own business.
What if a holiday falls on a rest day?
The combination is worked out from the kind of holiday it is and the rest day on that person's schedule. You do not look up the case.
What about a city or provincial holiday?
Local holidays apply from where your business is, so a town fiesta reaches the people in that place and nobody else.
Can I add our own closure?
Yes. Give it a name and a type, and it behaves like any other day of that kind for everybody in your business.
Next in the flow
Holidays hand their rules to these, on the same run.
Try it beside your spreadsheet.
Run one cutoff in Timekeep and compare it against the sheet you keep now. If the numbers do not match, you have lost nothing.
